Tributes and Vacations. (No, It's Not The New Jimmy Buffet Album.)

Pater noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis
debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

We loved you too, Mitch. Rest in peace.

Okay, yeah, I've not updated in a long time. I've been moving into my new place, getting Fee adjusted, working my ass off, and in the meantime, becoming a full-fledged Edgehead.

Also, I'm in Florida. Disney World. We left yesterday evening, right after John and I got off of work. My dad drove us in the RV, and he drove most of the night. We're staying at one of the newer hotels, Pop Century Resort. Each building represents a decade of 20th Century pop culture. We're in That 70's Wing. Outside of our room are replicas of a Mickey Mouse phone, a foosball table, and a Hot Wheels tricycle, all about the size of small houses. Pictures will follow. The buildings surround the hotel pool, known as The Hippy Dippy Pool. Tonight we went to Downtown Disney, which is where all of the shops are, as well as House of Blues, Cirque D' Soleil, Rainforest Cafe, and a seafood restaurant called Captain Jacks, where we had dinner. We found out that Sevendust was playing on Thursday at House of Blues, so we got tickets. We shopped and spent mass quantities of moolah, but we found some kick arse action figures, including Sweetums from The Muppet Show. The crowds are big, but not really overwhelming for Disney. Tomorrow the plan is to head to EPCOT Center for a low-key day.

Comments:
Hey, I remember Sweetums! I saw him in some muppet movie where a prince had been turned into a frog, and a princess was under the witch's evil spell, and all that stuff. I haven't seen it in maybe 18 years, but I remember the rhyme that the frog kept singing to Sweetums to get him to fall asleep and stop guarding:

"Sweetums, lay your ugly head
Down upon your wretched bed
Close your eyes and go to sleep
You stupid massive hairy heap."

And that's about the entirety of my knowledge of Sweetums.
